The LMSR-EK dynamic probing rig is powered by an electric motor, making it suitable for use in enclosed spaces. Depending on the country of use, the unit is equipped with a motor designed for either 110 V or 220–240 V mains power. Alternatively, the device can also be operated using a generator.
The hammer unit is moved along the mast by means of a winch.
The LMSR-EK is a high-performance and versatile soil investigation unit. Thanks to its foldable mast, it is easy to transport and particularly suitable for operations in confined spaces. The unit is moved manually on site.
At the testing point, the mast is aligned vertically using an adjustment spindle. A wooden beam for the mast base and two support plates for the wheels ensure a stable setup; these are included in the scope of delivery.
The device can be used for load-bearing capacity tests as well as compaction tests. It enables dynamic probing in accordance with DPL, DPM, and DPH standards. Switching between these methods is done by removing or adding weights to the hammer unit.
Optionally, the device can be equipped with a tripod base, allowing core penetration tests to be carried out conveniently.
